Privacy Policy

Outflankr is a competitor research service. This page explains what we collect, why, and who helps us process it. Questions or requests: hello@outflankr.com.

What we collect

• Account data: your email address and a hashed password (we never store your password in plain text). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google. We do not access your Google contacts, files or other Google data.
• Assets you choose to share: your company website URL, an optional test login for your own product (stored encrypted and used only to view your product), optional investor and sales decks (a link or uploaded PDF), and the public URLs of your company social accounts (which we can detect from your website for you to confirm). You can also set a current focus and pick which assets we review.
• Results we generate: reports, briefings, screenshots of public web pages and of your product (if you gave a test login), and visual previews.
• Billing data: payments are handled by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status, never your card details.
• Technical data: basic server logs and usage counts (for example, how many briefings you ran this month) needed to run the service and enforce plan limits.

Cookies

We use cookies only to keep you signed in and to secure the Google sign-in flow. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

How we use data

To create your account, run the research you ask for, email you briefings and account messages, process payments, and keep the service secure. We do not sell your data. We do not use your private assets (test logins, decks, logged-in screenshots) to research for other customers. Public research about competitors (public web pages, search results, public videos) may be cached and reused across customers to keep costs down.

Service providers

• Netlify: hosting, serverless functions and data storage.
• Stripe: payments and billing.
• Resend: sending email.
• OpenAI (via the Netlify AI Gateway) and Google Gemini: AI analysis of pages, screenshots, videos and, if you share it, your decks and public social profiles.
• Tavily: web search for public information about competitors and your market.
• Google: sign-in, if you choose Continue with Google.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. To delete your account and data, or to get a copy, email hello@outflankr.com and we will act within 30 days. You can remove a test login, deck or social account at any time in Settings, under Assets and access, or by contacting us.

Security

Passwords are hashed, test logins are encrypted, and all traffic uses HTTPS.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update this page and the date above.
